I’m working on CJK fonts.
Using “Tools > Glyph Names > Generate” cannot apply proper names to the glyphs.
It only renames them as “glyph100” “glyph101” and so on.
However, in “Glyph Properties” window, if the Code-points has been set, clicking the “wand” icon (auto-gen) on the right of the “Name” input box can give the glyph a proper name like “u9296” and “u3BFB”.
Is there a way to batch rename the whole font or selected part like that?
First perform Tools → Glyph Names → Clear and then Tools → Glyph Names → Generate will provide the requested names.
this doesnt seem right. it only works for Latin, Punctuation, etc., but not for CJK characters. it only renames them as “glyphxxxx”.
You are right. We will have this fixed with the next upcoming update.
