kerning of hebrew font

Hi,

I already asked about the kerning of a Hebrew font I created here: http://forum.high-logic.com:9080/t/dragging-the-second-letter-in-rtl-kerning/7024/1

However, the problem is not solved. The preview does not sense the kerning at all, neither does Word. Letters with a leg should overlap letters with a basis.

InDesign, on the other hand, does sense the kerning, but for only some of the pairs, it joins the first (right) letter to the second (left) by shifting the right letter away from the previous one.

I did not type any spaces in the text. The space was created after a kerned letter was typed for some pairs, but not for others.

I tried InDesign’s support, but they don’t support external fonts.
Thanks,
Eshbal

I am sorry, but we can not fix bugs in InDesign.

It seems they are now moving to harfbuzz, so the next release of InDesign should no longer have issues with your font.

And what about the problem that neither Word nor the internal preview of FontCreator do not seem to sense the kerning at all?

Then it seems to be an issue with the font. Do send the font project file to us along with a sample test Word document to test it.

Here are the files. Thank you!
Great Isaiah Scroll.fcp (34.9 KB)
test.docx (11.8 KB)

The project file still has an incorrect Script Language set:

Hebrew (hebr) → Hebrew (IWR)

It should be:

Hebrew (hebr) → Default

Thank you very much!
I already did it the last time you told me to, so I don’t know why it wasn’t saved. But now it works fine in all the programs.

Great to know you have solved the problem.
