Kerning pairs not working

I’m using Font Creator Pro 6.5 and I’ve created kerning pairs that do not seem to work. I created about a hundred manually in Format > Kerning, and they do not show up when I test the font within Font Creator or in Microsoft Word. I read another thread that suggested restarting the computer after installing the font, or deleting the font and re-installing it. I tried both of these and neither had any effect. I also tried running AutoKern which created about 1500 new kerning pairs. I followed the same steps again, and still my kerning settings aren’t recognized. Other forum posts I’ve seen recommended deleting the kerning table, but I wasn’t able to do that since it’s still listed as a supported table. Any ideas?

The supported kern table is the one that contains your defined kerning pairs — there is no need to delete that. If the font contains an unsupported kern table that uses glyph positioning, try deleting that one. If it exists, I believe that the supported one will be ignored.

Thanks for the reply - but I don’t have any unsupported tables, there is nothing listed in that window. Any other ideas?

You need to enable kerning for the selected text in Word, as it is turned off by default.

Test Font doesn’t show kerning. Use F8.

Thank you both!
