I’ve updated to version 10 and all my custom tags are gone. Definitely not happy about that, as it was the main feature I used the software for, and it was a real pain in the arse to tag all 2000+ fonts I have in my library.
I just clicked the update button, so I guess it’s installed over the old version? It’s installed in the same location, on my secondary hard drive for sure.
It still doesn’t make sense. Tags cannot get lost, unless MainType uses a brand new database.
Was the previous version of MainType using the database from the default location, or did you use FmsConfig to move it to your secondary hard drive as well?
This literally just happened to me also. All of my custom tags are gone…and right before the Christmas season! This is going to set me back at least a week, trying to get everything in order again…I’m so angry. A warning would have been nice!
Ah, yes that makes sense. The update to the new version might have reverted the layout of our font manager back to default, so the panels are no longer visible. As you already mentioned, you just need to show the panels.
