I have quite a few fonts organized in a folder called Fonts with subfolders A-Z.
I added the Font Folder located at C:\Users\Tommy\Google Drive\My Fonts\Fonts
I checked Index Recursive (so that it would search the subfolders A-Z.
I checked Create Groups.
I checked Keep in Sync and chose 15 minutes.
Then clicked ok. All it shows is Fonts 0 in the Font Groups pane. I’ve told it to refresh and it doesn’t find anything.
I removed the folder and added it again leaving the Create groups unchecked and still the same thing.
Hi. Did you activate the Pro version with the activation code sent to you by email?? Does the text in the upper left corner of the MainType sais:
"MainType 7.0 Professional Edition - Licensed to “Your name” ??
Good it works… but in first attempt… did you write the path manually?? Because if you use the “Browse” button and explore the fonts-folder, it must be correct.
I did use the Browse button to locate the folder but it would not find any fonts until I changed it to the
\TOMMY_LAPTOP\Users\Tommy\Google Drive\My Fonts\Fonts\
When using the standard C: it wouldn’t find any fonts.
Most likely depends that you have the original fonts folder on Google drive. If it shall work with the “C” drive you must have the fonts library in a synced folder on your “C” drive so that the fonts physically is there. If there’s no reason why you have the fonts folder under personally login… better having it higher in hiarchy. Cleaner link pathes
MainType uses both the user account and a service account to parse and install fonts. Sometimes the service account can’t access specific folders, as those are only granted access by the current user.
For now the work-around seems to be the only way to make this work.
