I’ve been tried of many ways of changing direction of my font to rtl, and i researched this forum site, so some solutions are too confusing, please simple help about changing direction font as rtl.
The direction of text is not stored in a font, but is determined by the specific characters.
If the characters are, for example, in the Latin character sets, the text will be left to right.
If the characters are in the Hebrew or Arabic Character sets, the text will be right to left.
I’m using Old Turkic alphabet on my font, so how can I set this font as arabic, hebrew etc. instead latin alphabet?
NOTE: I don’t know how to use OpenType features, I’ll so pleased if you share a simple tutorial. Thanks.
You have to use the correct Unicode code-points for Old Turkic, then it will automatically be right to left when typed.
That’s true, but I don’t know how can I specify glyphs or characters through Opentype features. This is a kinda computer programming
