I updated my Windows to Creators Update a couple of days ago.
Since then, I can not use the program properly because the Fonts Preview and Characters preview options do not work.
I attached a screenshot:
Can someone solve this problem?
Thank you!

No such problems here. Have you tried Check for Updates on the Help menu?
Yes, i tried, but my software is up to date.
There are all sorts of reports about various font managers flaking out after the Creators update, as well as traditionally installed fonts not surviving a reboot, etc. But this is the first report I’ve read about MT.
There are various remedies proposed. For some people those remedies worked, for others not so much. Ultimately I think this is something that Microsoft bunged up and will need to fix. Because I’ve just read these posts on other forums in passing, there isn’t one I can really point you to, but I would think a good Google search may well find some.

We’ll look into this after the weekend and might contact you if we have more questions or require some more assistance.
Thank You Erwin!
This is definitely an issue with the Microsoft Creators update. After I’ve restarted/shutdown my computer I have to go into Main Type and deactivate my font set and then reactivate it. This has only been an issue since the Creators Update. I ended up doing a total fresh reinstall of Windows because of this problem and it still persists. Main Type isn’t the only font editor that is effected. I tried a trial of Extensis Fusion (which isn’t as good, save for the easy access to Google Fonts) and it had the same issue. I can only assume with all the designers effected that Microsoft knows of this issue and is working on it.
I saw one post on Microsoft’s forums where one person had success by remapping the file permissions on the fonts so that the user group Everyone would have Full Control. I have been unsuccessful in changing or even accessing the file permissions on anything in the Windows Font Folder myself.
Anyone find a solution?
I can’t use the program and work normally.
Microsoft is aware of the issue and supposedly there will be a fix in the fall update.
We’re running the same creator update and MainType runs just fine.
If this is indeed a Microsoft issue, then we can’t do much about it. Nevertheless I’ll contact you to see what we can do to help.
