Overlaps, Smart and Rounded Corners, Cursify

I think Font Creator 11 is a very good app. I wish the following professional futures:

Create Overlaps
This feature automatically create overlaps for a glyph or selected glyphs (it will create overlaps on vertical and horizontal stem connections).

The result of this operation is that overlapping open or closed contours can be moved or edited separately:

Smart Corners
“Create and adjust live rounded corners and ink traps with Smart Corners. Use Scissors on intersections, and we will recreate overlapping contours, so you can move them independently.”

Rounded Corners:
It would be great if FontCreator had such design possibilities.

Cursify tries to counteract the distortion of curves.

Can you program these features for FontCreator?

I don’t see the benefit of cutting overlaps to move them. One can just select the points with marquee select and move them with the cursor keys (shift = 100 funits), but the other ideas seem to offer something extra.

It’s not a perfect solution, but you can use Fontforge’s “Expand Stroke” effect to round corners before finishing your font in Fontcreator. I used this process for Neue Gothic Round and Brewmaster Gothic Round.
