This is probably a silly question. I have some very old fonts which just have .PFM files; MainType states that they are missing their .PFB files (which is true: I have never had the .PFB files). But the fonts work; they are visible on the screen and print out correctly (from Word, as a test). Given that the .PFM should only have the metrics and not the glyphs, does anyone have any idea how this magic is performed (and how I can get MainType to accept them)?
