I am just starting to do a Font for the Keyboard Layout in Polish and Czech Keyboards, but I only have a German keyboard. Is there any feature in my Font-Creator Pro that helps me with generating Polish and Czech Keyboard Layout. Are there any Templates I can use?
I do not know Polish and Czech myself, but I do know of a list of pdf documents which are available from section 1.2.2 Alphabetic index of languages of the following web page.
You might find looking up the code points from the polish.pdf and czech.pdf documents in the Unicode code charts is helpful. Some of the Latin code charts are what is needed.
If you open Tools, Glyph Transformer, then open and run the “Eastern Europe” transform script it will add all of the characters you need for Czech/Polish to a basic Latin font. Note that this feature is available in the Professional Edition and the Trial version (the same, but unlicensed), but not in the Home Edition of Font Creator.
Keyboards are a different topic entirely to generating fonts. You can select a suitable keyboard in your Operating System, customise a keyboard in your wordprocessor, or create a custom keyboard as I did using the Keyboard Layout Generator. My PagePlus keyboard can be used to type a very wide range of accented characters using dead keys. Full List of Shortcuts
