Poor quality contours when importing

I have created a font style in autocad and have exported out as a .tif file. When I import them into FontCreator the are not smooth arcs or lines. Is there a better way to bring in better images?

Export as PDF or use a higher resolution bitmap. At least 300 pixels is recommended. See this tutorial on importing bitmap images:
