Preview not previewing code and other issues on macOS (Version 26.5.0)

I just bought FontCreator 16 so that I can use the software on my Mac mini M4. There are three issues that I’m having on the macOS version (26.5.0).

  1. When I type something in the text preview bar of the preview panel, while it does show the characters, it doesn’t refresh the commands used underneath. For instance, when I input “a”, I see the character “a” previewed, but underneath, nothing changes. I need to click on it, to correctly refresh it to “/a”. “Show all instances of selected graph” is deselected. On the latest Windows version (16.0.0.3069) it works like it always did (correctly). All settings are the same on both the macOS and the Windows versions.
  2. The Function Key shortcuts don’t work on macOS. For instance, F8 shows or hides the preview panel perfectly on Windows, but not on macOS. I thought it might have to do with the settings in macOS, but in other Mac programs such as Word and the Opera browser, they do work correctly.
  3. When I input certain characters, preview texts are inserted automatically without using the drop-down menu:
  • input: “1”. auto-changed to: “1234567890!,.”#$%&'()".
  • input: “a”. auto-changed to: the whole alphabet.
  • etc.

I never had this under Windows; I still don’t (v16).

Thanks in advance.

Both the text-preview bar as well as the automatic preview texts are now working correctly in the latest macOS version (26.5.1). The function key shortcuts still don’t work, though.
