Not sure if this should be posted in the bugs section or whether it’s by design, but the Select Duplicate feature seems to always prefer Opentype-TT over Opentype-CFF even if the font version of the OTF-CFF font is newer and even of both fonts have the same kerning type. Thus, while normally it selects the older fonts as duplicates (to be deleted) and keeps the newer ones unselected, in this particular case, it will select the newer format and version (to be deleted/as duplicates) and offer to keep the older one. Is this intended? what was the reasoning behind?
As far as I know OTF-TT might be more “compatible” as it includes more kerning information and it might display better in some circumstances/old software, but shound’t overall OTF-CFF be the more modern and preferred format?
Thank you.
