Set/change break character

In the font I want to use, the break character is defined as ‘2’. This causes text-justification methods to fail. In most other fonts, the break character is ‘32’ (space). Is there a way to change it in Font Creator?

Sure, it is pretty easy. You can change the code-point through the Glyph Properties panel.

Thanks Erwin, but I’m not sure what code-point to apply and which character it applies to. Is there a code that I should add to the space character that means “break character” in addition to “space”? Thank you for your help.

The space character is the break character. That is all you need to change.

I’m sorry, it’s not clear to me what I should change. Right now, according to Windows at least, the space character is not the break character. What can I change so the space becomes the font’s break character. Right now, $2 is the font’s break character.

Can you further explain the issue, as it seems we are not able to help with the information you have provided so far?

Is this a Symbol font? Try converting it to a Unicode font.
