Template for Fixing Individual Characters

One thing I would like to be able to do is print a selective template to fix up individual characters. A couple of mine don’t look quite right to me, and I’d like to be able to replace just a few of them. I can never seem to write through the whole alphabet without getting at least a couple of letters printed unsatisfactorily. For example, I did it again, and all of the letters look good and flow well except my lower-case j and n. But if I do a new template, I’ll likely make a mistake somewhere else.

If I were in this position I would save the template to Desktop, open the template in the much undervalued MS Paint and try to repair the erring character drawings. This repaired template could then be saved and, in Scanahand, loaded.

I think the easiest way to solve this problem is to save the filled in template and edit it in IrfanView or your favourite photo-editor. I find there are a few ink spots that can quickly be cleaned up. Any other method would probably prove to be more time-consuming.

On the Filled Template Dialogue there are buttons for:

1. Copy (copy a scan to the clipboard)
2. Save as (save as a file to disk)
3. Rotate 180° (for those times when you put the template onto the scanner upside down).
