The Font Overview panel in FontCreator becomes extremely laggy and unresponsive when scrolling. There is a noticeable delay in response, regardless of whether I use the mouse wheel, the touchpad, or drag the scrollbar directly.
The issue occurs with both non-CJK and CJK fonts. Selecting specific categories from the Font Categories Panel on the left to load only fonts of those categories also causes the same problem.
It seems that this issue has been present since version 16.0.0.3070.

Hi, I tested both Source Serif 4 (No-CJK, 1,464 glyphs) and WenYuan Serif SC (CJK, 35,235 glyphs, aka “文渊宋体”). I selected glyphs in the “Characters - Uppercase Letters” category, which contains 311 glyphs in Source Serif 4 and 254 glyphs in WenYuan Serif SC. When scrolling through the Font Overview panel, I noticed a noticeable lag in the panel’s scrolling response.
I tested with 16.0.0.3064, 3070 and 3082 separately. In my laptop, using Source Serif 4 as the test font, scrolling in the Font Overview panel is relatively smooth in 3064, but there is very noticeable laggy in 3070 and 3082.
This issue is indeed quite puzzling…
