thanks very much.. I pasted in a vector from Illustrator that seemed to work, from the image trace function.. but I will try everything you mention.. there’s a lot of tools new in FontCreator that I haven’t had in Illustrator, so am learning.. thank you again.. I will report results back afterwards…

If you use the insert image command for inserting vectors (AI or PDF) tracing won’t be necessary, and import is many times faster. Also drag and drop from Windows Explorer to import multiple vectors at once.
