Unicode 14

How can I export a font with the new ranges (Latin Extended-F, Latin Extended-G) included?

Thank you for your help

Unicode 14 is relatively new. I suspect that FontCreator needs an update. The latest FontCreator version was released on August 20th, which predates the release of Unicode 14 on September 14th.

I tried updating Blocks.txt and UnicodeData.txt in C:\Program Files\High-Logic FontCreator 14\Unicode\ but I could not get it to work. I advise waiting for a reply from the program’s author.

Sorry for the delay. Thank you for your reply - yes, I tried the same before I posted :frowning:

Go to Tools, Options, Advanced, and copy the Data files to the User Data Folder. Then open the User Data Folder and go to the Unicode folder.

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\FontCreator14\Unicode

It should contain these files:
ArabicShaping.txt
Blocks.txt
Scripts.txt
UnicodeData.txt

You can then replace those files with the most recent ones as available from here:
https://www.unicode.org/Public/14.0.0/ucd/

For changes to take effect, you will need to restart FontCreator.

Thank you.

Yes, I did that back when.

It did the job, as far as Libre Writer is concerned, but in Word I’m not seeing any Latin ranges after Latin Extended Additional. Latin Extended-C appears under Glagolitic, -D under Modifer Tone Letters, -E under Phags-pa, -F & -g under Extended Characters - Plane 1, and Combining Diacritical Marks under Buginese. I know it’s M$ problem, not FC, but I’d like to know if anyone else is seeing the same?

We have just released an update of FontCreator which comes with Unicode 14 data.
