Hello! I'm a happy user of Main Type, but recently I've been looking for the best way to compare two fonts or more through Main Type and I havent found something useful.
Imagine that I need to combine two or three fonts in a graphic project, like a book, normally I install some fonts that seems to be good to combine and then I prove them side-by-side in other software like Scribd.
The thing is that I would like to now whats the best way to compare side-by-side (or face-to-face) two or more fonts via Main Type.
Thanks for your support.
What's the best way to compare types in Main Type?

Re: What's the best way to compare types in Main Type?
There is no easy way to compare two similar fonts within MainType itself.
It has been requested before. Comparing Fonts
However, you can do it if you export your font catalogue to an HTML file. See this web page. which was created with MainType.
You can export selected fonts from the MainType Tools menu, Export Font Information, and then browse your font catalogue on your hard drive using your internet browser.

Ok then, thank you for the tip, Bhikkhu, I'll try with the HTML font catalogue, but this will be a really good feature for typographers! Hope so that it could be added to MainType 3.0.
Regards and thanks again.

At present, the best way to compare fonts is using Font Creator.
Open two (or more) fonts and use Window to Tile Vertically. Something looks weird about these two.
Obviously these fonts were NOT made with Font Creator.

Sorting the glyphs often straightens out fonts that look like this as they'll order by map id.
