After using the FCP project file to generate the font, there was confusion in the naming of the font.
The first case is unchecked generate the following naming fileds, like this
all the adobe software Unable to recognize fonts diffent style correctly.
Now I am using the latest version, I remember that the previous version did not have this problem.
thank you.
Tried out a few new scenarios, filled in these three fields, and added other languages to the full font name. After exporting, it works normally.
But what I want to say is that in the previous version, the 1 and 2 places were to export normal font files without filling in
I really think there’s a problem when exporting Regular or Bold. The file exports correctly. However, when exporting Light or Medium, the programs don’t recognize the font correctly.
It works properly, but appears without a name in the font list.
Only Regular and Bold work correctly.
All the other fonts, from Thin to Fat, appear without a name, but they work correctly.
I had to change the font names. Instead of Extra-bold, I used EB, etc.
and use only Regular and Bold.
Hello, my friend.
When exporting a font as Thin, Light, Medium, or Black, the font name isn’t exported correctly.
The font works very well, but the problem is with the naming. Programs don’t recognize the font name.
This didn’t happen in previous versions.
This problem doesn’t appear when exporting as Regular or Bold.
I am having the same issue.
It’s no longer possible to write information into the Additional Naming Fields for Typographic Family, Typographic Subfamily, Style Map Family Name, and Style Map Style Name.
Whether the fonts are exported as “Current Layer” or “Statics from Instances”, “Statics from Masters”, whether “Generate automatically” is checked or not, when I reimport the output back in to Fontcreator, the fields are blank.
I have looked at the files, but to me it is totally unclear what the problem is. I first need to understand and be able to reproduce the issue before I can think of a solution.
So if you have a problematic export, do provide the font project file along with the exported font and clearly explain what fields you believe are incorrect.
It seems there are some different issues related to font names. If you want us to fix your font naming issue, do provide a sample font project along with information that clearly shows the issue.
First, I’m sorry. I don’t think my problem is the same as the other participants.
I shared the files. The two files are identical in every way, except that one is TTF and the other is OTF.
Note in the image that the TTF file is previewed correctly.
However, the OTF file appears blank.
If I add the English alphabet to the OTF file, it displays correctly.
