With great sadness I share that Andrew West—respected font designer, leading expert on East Asian scripts, and a wonderfully kind person—passed away on 10 July 2025.
Andrew relied on FontCreator for more than 18 years to develop his acclaimed BabelStone fonts.
Our many in-depth conversations not only helped Andrew refine his fonts but also inspired improvements to FontCreator itself.
