With great sadness I share that Andrew West—respected font designer, leading expert on East Asian scripts, and a wonderfully kind person—passed away on 10 July 2025. Andrew relied on FontCreator for more than 18 years to develop his acclaimed BabelStone fonts. Our many in-depth conversations not only helped Andrew refine his fonts but also inspired improvements to FontCreator itself. He will be deeply missed. Heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the type community.
